Pommac at fieldtrail!
4/9-2008

The phone rang late last night..
A spot on the fieldtrail the next day
had opened up and did I want to bring Pommac
and do the trail?? Yes, I did!!

Early the next morning Pommac and I went
down to Nödinge just outside Gothenburg.

The trail started with 2 marks on land.
Bulls eye on the first!
The shot went of for the second and
I send Pommac just as I hear a noise..

Oh, my god! I look up and see the top of a tree
that breaks and starts to fall down just
where Pommac is on his way to pick up the
bird..

It fell like in slowmotion and I just
screamed his name and as he looked up he
took a step back, and the tree top fell down on top
of the bird.. Pommac looked very surprised but
started pull at the bird and got it out and
came back with it to me!!

He got a round of applause but I felt
like my knees was about to buckle.
It looked awful and I don't want to
think about what could have happened if
he hadn't looked up!!

Then after we gathered ourselfs it was time
for the search.
Maybe it was due to his very
shaky handler but Pommac wasn't his
usual self and it took him awhile to get
the 6 birds back to me.
But I really coulnd't blame him, I felt
like I was about to cry just in relief that
it all had gone well and that I had a dog
to bring home again in one piece!

Pommac giving me the bird and the judge
coming to check it.

Many dogs had problems with the two
birds on water due to the wind and rain.

Pommac loves to work in water!

Full speed back to me with the bird!

Pommac did a very good job on water and
after this the trail was over!

Och en 2'a i protokollet!

The critique read as follows:
A dog that does a splendid work retrieving and marking.
Needs a little bit more energy and focus while searching.

We were so happy driving home.
Not quite where we want to be, but for a first
attempt it was good enough!
And now we must have had our fair share of
falling trees and bees and such so trails from now on
should be clear sailing..

Gizmo at fieldtrail!
23/8-2008

Gizmo together with his owner Thomas have
been to a fieldtrial! They did a good job and
got a 3:d prize in nkl to bring home!

Gizmo with his owner Thomas while visiting Mariedal!

We send loads of CONGRATULATIONS and keep
our fingers crossed that the 1:st prize soon
is in the bag.. ;-)

mixed up with lunch and dinner made it an all around  wonderful day!

Click on the link and see some pics from the day!

Unfortunately not all of the dogs and owners
got caught on film but nevertheless we where very happy that
all of you came and that we had such a fun time together!
Hope to see you all soon and keep up the good work
with your dogs!!
And last but not least.. THANK YOU for taking
such good care of them!!

24/8-2008

Janet Ciarico with Tilly out of the Elvis/Diva litter
and Dala out of the Simon/Pepsi litter have been
away on Junior Hunter trails.

Tilly with her owner Janet after the trail!

I'm not totally familiar with the rules, but
as far as I understand they need 4 Junior Hunter passes
to get the title and Tilly now got 2 and Dalas got 1!
Way to go!!

We send loads of CONGRATULATIONS to
all of you! Your making us very proud indeed!!

Flatcoated Retriever Sociaty Working Test!
9-10/2008

It was time yet again for the Swedish Flatcoated Retriever Sociaty
to arrange the annual  Working Test to crown this years best working
flatcoat during this two day event.

333 dogs where entered and it was 5 different classes.
Beginners, Youngsters, Open, Elit and Veterans.
All of the 5 different stations used dummies instead of birds
due to the amount of dogs entered.
The stations included walk up, search, marks and blinds.

Pommac, Fredde and I drove up in the RV on Friday
and met up with friends and had a lovely evening
with good food and company.
Pommac and I where entered in nkl and this was our first working test.

Pommac in the evening..

At WT your supposed to do as few signals
and commands as possible and since my arms
go out from my sides like there on autopilot when
Pommac is on his way back to me,
among other things, that cost us quite a lot of points..
Arms doesn’t make any noise but I guess the
judged didn’t care..

A blind retrieve.  I unfortunately misunderstood
where I was supposed to send Pommac, and sent him
20 meters to much to the right. One whistle and he
stopped and took my directions and got the dummy
back to me! Good boy!

On one of the stations Pommac got a wasp in
his coat and started to try and get it off..
I tried to help him, but couldn't find it.
We completed the last 3 stations and not
until we came back to the RV I got the chance
to really look him over and what did I find??

A wasp
in bedded and still alive in his
back featherings over his coat!!
So I got it off and was so proud of Pommac that
kept working anyway!!

We ended up with 64 points and was placed
35 out of around 90 entries in novice.

We had a wonderful weekend and we'll
be back and
then my arms will be
steady as can be.. ;-)

Hips/Elbows and DNA!

Lucas out of the Maggie/Nimbus litter has
done a DNA coat colour test and he
carries black and brown.

Now he only needs some
good results before we can start thinking
about puppies!

SKK show in Tvååker!
12-13/7-2008

After the RV got a good clean
and fresh batteries we where once again ready
to get going. This time to a SKK show in Tvååker in
the south of Sweden.
A very nice show that has become somewhat of a
tradition for us!

Pommac and Smilla were entered and
even though we just had the
WDS it was quite a few dogs
entered.

Rosalie Brady from the UK judged
the first day and Pommac was 3’d in champion and
was res best male. Smilla was unplaced in open.

Smilla in the ring!

On Sunday it was
Anne Liland, Norway who judged and I nearly
didn’t show Pomamc because I thought he would be
way to young to stand a chance in agains the
older males. Luckily Fredde got me
to change my mind..

Much to my surprise she started to place
the champions and in the end it was between
Hector and Pommac to run one final lap around
the ring to decide who would win the class.

I was so happy when she showed Pommac and I to
the first place!!
And when it was time for the best male challenge
we once again got to stand first in line and
we where oh so happy indeed!

I was so happy when she showed Pommac and I to
the first place!!
And when it was time for the best male challenge
we once again got to stand first in line and
we where oh so happy indeed!

Pommac at the circuit show in Stockholm.

Time for the bitches to start.
Smilla became 4:th in open with CK but
unplaced in best bitch.

Pommac got to enter the BOB/BOS challenge
but the bitch won, but I was just as happy
all the same!

We were very happy and now Pommac will take some
time off showing and do some work instead!

Thank you all for congratulating us and
we wish you a wonderful summer!

Circuit & WDS
in Stockholm!!
4-6/7-2008

How wonderful, finally time for the World Dog Show
in Sweden!!

Pommac, Smilla and Soda.

We drove up to Stockholm Thursday afternoon and
spent the evening with Örjan & Gunilla Klein, well known
top chefs in Sweden and owners of a dog from our kennel called Lucas.
They had made us a
wonderful dinner and we ate on their balcony
overlooking Stockholm in the evening sun!

Janet from the USA who owns Dala & Tilly from
our kennel really enjoyed both the city and
the dinner. After we were finished eating
we took the dogs for a walk
and they ran like crazy having so much fun!

Pommac in the ring circuit day 1.

Judy and Jazmyn Kennon-Wray from Australia
who owns Disco and Bling where there and
it was so wonderful to meet them again!!

Pommac was the only dog from our kennel entered
on the first day. A very big group of champions came into
the ring and Pommac received excellent but then we where
done for the day.

Wonderful critique but needs more time
to mature, judge Brian Izzard (UK) said!

Jaz runs a lap with Pommac.

We were so pleased to see that Pommac & Smillas
grandmother MultiCH Moonstruck Jelly Baby won BOB
and looked so nice as she flew around the ring
9 years old!!

In the afternoon we went back to Örjan,
Gunilla and Lucas and just got to see them
jump into the Morgan to drive down south.

Ready to go, but where is the dog??

Hi there! Lucas, on the softest of leathers seats and
feeling just fine!

Good food at a small Italian restaurant before it
was time to call it a day!

Colin Mackey giving Smilla the once over..

Smilla was entered on the 2’nd day of the Circuit.
An enormous class and received excellent and she placed 4’th!

Smilla once more.

We drove out to the showground on the evening
before the show and parked between all the
other RV’s who were already there.
Next to us we had an Italians and their enormous RV probably
cost more then our house times 3!!

We woke up early and looked outside the RV and
hardly could believe our eyes..
Loads of people where already in line and waiting
to be let, several hours before the doors opened!

We went out to stand in the long long line of
handlers and dogs just before they opened the doors
and it was so many different dogs and nationalities it was just
amazing! Pommac, Smilla and Soda did the best
they could to make sure that they had said hello to as
many dogs as possible as we made our way into the
building!

Smilla & Soda both got excellent, but
Soda was dropped from junior class in the first
cut while Smilla lasted until the last cut in open class.

Malte, who just turned 2 years old!

Malte who have just turned 2 years old
went into open class for the first time and
got excellent and got to come back.
Not an easy, since many of the males
are considerably older, but he got
to stay on until the very last cut before
the judge started to place the dogs.
Way to go, My!!

Pommac was entered in champion class and
it was 30 males in the ring!
Per Iversen from Norway was judging!
Pommac got excellent and got to come back!

We went back to comete in the challenge,
and Pommac got to stay in the ring until
the very last cut down to 4 dogs and considering
that he is still only 2½ years old and the level of
competition we were thrilled!!

Judy, Jaz and Janet where to came back with us
Mariedal and we got in the RV and started
driving home.
Very tired but very pleased with our weekend,
new acquaintances and the dogs!

Bling in Australia!
18/6-2008

Finally Bling is out of quarantine and has joined
his uncle Disco at Kennel Bushman!
Judy is very pleased so far and we think Disco
needs to watch out so Bling doesn’t win the spot
of Top Dog in Judy’s heart!

Two shows and what fantastic results!!
Two BOB puppy and BIG puppy!!

Bling going around the ring!

“His movements are just out of this world; you should see him
flow around the ring!” Judy says and we would have loved it!
But we’ll have to make due with pictures for the time being!

Disco was also entered at the show and won BIG-2!
It makes us very happy when the boys does well in the ring!

Disco & Judy!

We send loads of hugs to Bling and Disco and
keep our fingers crossed for continued success!!
And a big THANK YOU to Judy and Jaz
that spend so much time keeping the boys in
tiptop condition!! :-)

dearly, but know he will have a wonderful life
with his new family!
We plan to go and visit him and
Disco as soon as possible!

Bling a few days before he left..

the puppydiary.

We wish Bling and his new family
good luck and will keep you all posted on
his progress!

DKK show in Hilleröd
3/5-2008

Pommac, Smilla and Soda got to go
to Denmark this weekend and show under
Frank Kane, UK.

It was a beautiful morning,
the sun shining, as we took the ferry over to Denmark.
The dogs were happy as ever being out on adventures.

Pommac was first to enter the ring, and this time in champion class.
He came 3:d with excellent and a splendid critique from Mr Kane,
but he wanted more maturity and considering his tender age
of 2 ½ we can’t blame him!

Pommac in Denmark.

It was wonderful to see Pommacs father Cosmo in good form,
winning the class and go on to be best male of the day!
Way to go, dad!!

Then it was Sodas turn and she had
a big gang to compete against.
She came 2’nd in junior class with excellent.
She was very pleased with herself and so was I!

Smilla was next and last of the day for our kennel.
She entered open bitches
and had a few really top winning bitches in her class.
So we where very pleased when she
won the class with excellent!
Then she went in to compete for CAC
but lost out to a champion bitch that looked lovely.
So that was that, our day was over,
and we were happy never the less.

On the whole a wonderful day,
and the dogs really being a joy to handle.
We went back to Sweden, in glorious sunshine,
and have had a lovely day with good friends,
happy dogs and a nice trip to Denmark.

And we want to send big congratulations to
dad Cosmo and Helle for a job well done!

SSRK Uddevalla
5/6-2008

The Swedish Spaniel and Retriever Sociaty
always have a two day show in Uddevalla
in the spring. This is a show we always
attend and this year was no different!

It is next to impossible to take good
pictures in the arena where the show is
but here are the results anyway.

Jackie Lane UK judged males on Saturday
and bitches on Sunday.
John Thirwell judged bitches on Saturday
and Brenda Banbury males on Sunday.

Pommac won open both days and
was reserv best male on Saturday.
On Sunday he was 4'th best male and got
the last CC he needed for his championship!!

Pommac after he got his last CC needed..

Smilla was 4:th best bitch on Saturday.
On Sunday Fanny came along and she won
youngster and placed 5 best bitch!!
What a busy weekend for her!!

Thank you all so much for congratulating
us on Pommacs CC!!
This makes it so much more special for us!!

Obedience and mentalitytest
5/4-2008

Kärstin & Fanny really take on more than
most! And they have the energy to
pull it off too!

This time they had enterd both
an obedience competition and a
mentality test on the same day.

Fanny & Kärstin at the show in Uddevalla!
What a team!

The day started with a mentality test
called "MH" on the coast outside Gothenburg.
They test to see how secure the dog is,
how curious it is, if it gets scared easily,
if it's friendly to strangers and so on.

Fanny passed the test with flying colours
and then it was off to the obedience competition.
Fanny started in Obedience 1 and
had no problems holding it togheter.

169 points and placed 3'd!
This means she will go on to the next
level and hopefully do equally good there.

In the evening they drove up to us
and Fanny was made into a
showdog by the way of the bathtub.
On Sunday it was time for
SSRK show in Uddevalla!

Thank you so much Kärstin for all the
hard work you put into Fanny!!
We are very proud of you both!!
:-)

Crufts 2008
10/3-2008

March again, and that means Crufts in Birmingham England.
Crufts is really something special and
this year Pommac and Smilla had qualified.
We looked forward to meeting Judy Kennon-Wray who
owns Disco in Australia and Izabela Kulczycka who owns
Missy out of our Pepsi/Simon litter.

The daffodils are in bloom in England!

They were both entered to Limit,
and as it turned out it was very many wonderful dogs
entered in this class both on the bitch and male side.

First out was Smilla her class had 23 bitches enterd.
Judging was Moray Armstrong.
Smilla got placed 4'th and we where very
happy about that!

Then it was time for Pommac in the male ring.
Judging was Chris Murray.
Pommac also got pulled out for placing and
finished 4'th in the class!
And Pommac and Smilla quickly agreed that being
4'th is really being the best.. ;-)

Posing with their cards..

Pommac and Smilla did their best to
network around the ring, kissing everyone
that got close enough and Smilla also found
some that was having a snack and tried to
get in on the action..
This is a skill she uses worldwide.. ;-)

Thank you all for your kind words about the dogs and
we hope to see you all soon again!
And to you that has yet to experience Crufts,
try and make it next year!
Crufts is magical!!

SSRK show Moheda
2/3-2008

Time again for the SSRK show in Moheda.
Smilla & Pommac where entered and we
left home bright and early in the morning,
together with Caroline who are into American Cockers.

The show takes place in a soccerhall and
everything you bring into that hall gets a
cover of fine gray dust,
your shoes, all the stuff and even the dogs.

First out was Pommac, who placed
2'nd in openclass with CK and then went on to
being 2'nd best male of the day.
No CC, because that went to the
top dog of the day.

Then it was time for Smilla and she got
placed 3'd in open and but was unplaced
in best bitch.

The joy of the day was our little
friend "Cocos" the american cocker
who became 2'nd best bitch
with CC and she is just a junior!
Way to go!

Disco
Top Show Dog 2007
& BIG in Australia!
4/2-2008

Disco, our pride and joy in Australia,
did very well indeed last year and
won to the title of
Top Show Dog 2007!!

Disco in November of 2007!

And he keeps on going,
this weekend he won another BIG!!
I got an sms from Judy that said:
"Clever Disco won Best In Group.
He had to beat some very good Gundogs to
win and got 25 points
towards his Grand Champion title."

We are needless to say, so proud and
happy over how well he is doing and
very grateful towards Judy that keeps him
in such good shape and doing so well!!

Match Show in the USA!
27/1-08

Little miss Dala, out of the Pepsi/Simon litter,
and her owner Janet Ciarico went with
Dalas little sister Tilly, out of our litter
between Diva/Elvis to a Match Show
this weekend!

Lots of people and dogs made the girls
very happy indeed, Janet reports.
Dala was the one that became
BOB and went on to the sporting group.

The hours it took between the breed judging
and the finaly was very useful for Dala.
She calmed down and made an excellent showing
in the group!

She did so well that she got placed
4 in the sporting group and both she
and Janet where very happy!!
As are we!!

Thank you so much Janet for all
the hard work you put into the girls!!
Give them lots of hugs &kisses from us and
we look forward to hearing about your adventures
across the Atlantic!

Zeldas puppies arrive!
19/1-08

Finally the calm has settled on Mariedal and we now have
13 more dogs in the house then we had last night.
During the night Zelda kept me up, walking around a bit,
laying at my feet and wanting me to stroke her big stomach.
I went to bed at around 5 o’clock and after just a few hours sleep
I woke up to find Fredde taking care of Zelda, and Zelda just about
to give birth to the first puppy. Good thing that I awoke.
Fredde is wonderful with the dogs, but stuff like whelping isn’t his favourite thing to
get his hand into.

Zelda getting some water after a few puppies are born.
Me still in my PJ's..

Wíthin the first hour she had given birth to 7 puppies and when she was done the total
was 13, 8 boys and 5 girls.
I just can’t believe the sizes of the litters we get here..

The first time feeding.

Here we just got the bed cleaned while mum was
getting cleaned up as well..

At the moment all is well and we are resting and taking care of Zelda,
and she is being the perfect mother
doting on her puppies and looking so proud!

Swedish Winner-08
MyDog
Göteborg 6/1-08

Christmas is over and we have finally said hello to 2008!
Both Christmas and New Years was
calm but now it was time
for our annual trip to Gothenburg for the show that
starts of the year, MyDOG!

This year the flats where on Thursday and Sunday
and since we don’t live more then a 2 hour drive away
I had planned to drive up and down for both shows.

On Thursday Pommac was second in open with CK but unplaced
in best male. Smilla was unplaced in open class bitches.
Maggie had come along to be juniorhandling dog
for a young girl Julia who wanted to try it out for the first time.
Maggie was as happy as could be and they did very well.
The got to the last round but then it was over for this time.

On Saturday the weather got worse
and I decided to go down early and check in at a hotel
so I didn’t have to get up in the middle of the night to drive down.

Cold, cold, cold!!!

So I packed the dogs in the car and started
to drive down on Saturday afternoon.
My friend Anna-Karin, who are into Norfolks,
and her bitch Kråkan (Crow) got BOB puppy
so I went to the show to show them some support
when and they made it all the way to the last round.
Not bad for such competition!
Kråkan was so tired that she fell asleep straight away
on Anna-Karins arm and were just so sweet!

Anna-Karin and Kråkan in the BIS ring.

By the time Pommac, Smilla and I got to the hotel
it was really coming down and the wind made it so cold
that we so relieved that we had made it down in one piece.
We watched tv for awhile before it was time
for the last battle with the elements outside.

Smilla & Pommac in the hotel bed..
"Mum.. there really isn't any room for you..."

Pommac half asleep in bed..

Next morning we digged up the car and got going.

Pommac went into open as did Explicit Far & Away “Nero”,
and when it was time for Pommac infront of the judge
the judge said to me
“I really like him, he’s excellent!”
and I replied “I really like him too!”.

Pommac and I in the ring.

We ran and came back and the judge started dictating the critique.
Suddenly he gets up and comes up to me and says
“Isn’t he a champion??”
and I say “No..”
and then he says “Why??” and then I really didn’t know what to say..

In the end Pommac won the class and Nero
became 3:d, both with CK.
Smilla was 4’th in open and considering
how many bitches where sent out with 2’nd quality
we where very happy to be placed.

The champion class had a lovely lineup
and after that was done
it was time for best male and Pommac, was as happy as always.
He looked at them for awhile and then we ran a few laps and
the judge started to say goodbye to dogs,
but we where still in the ring..
Then we where only 5 left and then he placed nr 5 and 4
and we where still standing!!

Then we got to run again and then he placed nr 3 and 2
and finally he looked at us and said nr 1 and pointed at us!!
I was so happy I had chills all over and just couldn’t believe it!!

Pommac with his prizes..

Pommac got his CC, the CAC and the title SV-08!!!
So into the other ring and there was Ragnhild
and Almanza Bag of Tricks “Klura” and it nearly felt unreal!

It reminded me of when Cola as a junior,
got to go up against CH Almanza Sharp Shooter
a few years earlier at MyDOG for BOB.
I can still think back to that day and get chills,
just for the fact that it was such a wonderful feeling!
They played “Working 9-5” on full blast and Cola and I
just had fun going around the ring!
That was my first time winning with a dog I breed
and it’s just such a wonderful thing!
And this time was just the same!!

So Ragnhild and Klura won and that was fine by me!!
Pommac had just won his second CC, his first CAC, his first BOS and his first title!!
I had such a day and Pommac was so happy in the ring
and we just had fun together.
We hugged Ragnhild and the judge and
got to run one final lap with everyone applauding!
This is a day we will remember for a long time to come
and I want to thank you all that has congratulated us,
both at the show and afterwards!
It makes this so much more special!!!

An extra thank you to Lena
who came and showed Nero and all you
“Explicits” who came and had a good time with us at the ringside!!
You are the best!!

What a wonderful start to 2008!! :)

Gizmo, an
Internationell Rescue Dog!!
9/12-2007

Dashing Gizmo with his owner Thomas
as they visit Mariedal!

Gizmo with his superowner Thomas Ericson
have withstanded all the tests
and are now a part of the Swedish
International Search and Rescue team!!

From the first time Thomas and wife Caroline
came to visit the puppies out of our first litter, they said that they
wanted a dog that could take the place of Thomas dog that was
a part of the Swedish Int S&R team.
Thomas had already been in a real situation,
helping earthquake victims in Yugoslavia.
I was a budding breeder with my
first litter, so obviously I nearly fainted and said
that they could pick what ever dog they thought would be
best suited when they tested them.

So they picked a male with lots of
spunk and curiosity.
And ever since Gizmo has been tagging along
Thomas on all kinds of situations and last year
Gizmo passed the test as a Search & Rescue dog with
flying colours.

But still he had the big test to pass, and
I must admit I was a bit anxious when I heard
that the time was here.
What if Gizmo didn't measure up..

The thing is, they only get one chance at this test.
If they fail they will never again
be able to try out for the team.

Gizmo during an exercise..

This Friday they started at 18.00 o'clock with a
quick review of the weekend ahead.
Then they went out and started working with the dogs,
and they kept going until 04.00 at night!!
They slept in big tents and due to all the
rain the last weeks they had to keep all their gear in
big plastic bags to keep them away from all the
dirt and water.

2 hours sleep and then it was time for them
to get back to work.
They kept on until late Saturday night, and
they got some sleep until early Sunday morning
when they started again.

It was a very tired but oh so proud Thomas
that called me at 15.00 o'clock to tell me
that they passed and that Gizmo had done so
well the entire weekend.

Thomas said that Gizmo really had given his all.
There are not many chances to rest
for man or dogs on a weekend like this,
but Gizmo had relaxed every chance he got
and then full speed ahead when working!
This ability is very important for a dog that are
to be used in these situations.

Gizmo in action!!

Well, we are so proud and happy that
all worked out so well and relieved that
Gizmo made it all the way to the International Team!!

We send loads of hugs and congratulations to Thomas
and Gizmo and hope that they get the chance to
celebrate! Because that is what we'll do!!
:-)

Loads of showresults!
11/11-2007

Today we had a show at SSRK Grängesberg that is
up north. The snow was already there and that
was quite a ride to get there with the RV!!

152 (!) flatcoats where entered and from our kennel
it was Pommac,Smilla, Wilma and Nova who had come.
We got a change of judge due to the number of entries and Hans Almgren
judged the males and Nina Karlsdotter the bitches.

First out was Pommac.
He is just such a happy boy, and he just jumped up and
down waiting to get into the ring. I can't help but
laugh sometimes..

He won open with CK and then he had to wait
for best male.
Every class had huge numbers and Wilma & Nova
went into youngster.
This was their first show and they did great.
They didn't get placed but they did get 1:st price in quality and a lovely critique
that I'm sure will encourage Anette and Helene who own the two girls to
go to some more shows and try their luck!

Nova & Wilma look proud of themselfs after a
job well done!

Smilla had 23 bitches against her in open and she didn’t get
placed in the final line-up but she was just as happy anyway!
She spent the rest of the day trying to locate what bags around the

ring had the most candy with easy access in them…

Then it was time for Pommac in best male.
It was a wonderful line-up of males! Pommac kept on being his

happy little self and that worked because the judge came and put him
up as second behind a lovely Branchalwood champion male.

And when we ran the last lap around the ring I was so happy!!
Pommac got his CC and a wonderful critique
that I will try to translate.

"Excellent breed type. A very well-balanced male with a beautiful masculine head that is moulded
in one piece. No excess skin. Elegant but yet powerful neck. Very well proportioned.
Strong bones. Good feet. Well carried tail. Thick double coat that lays
well against the body. Attractive overall picture.

Pommac today.

Then it was only the small problem of
getting the RV back up the hill..
Well, we got it up and we got home!!

Thank you so much Anette and Helene for showing
your dogs! And THANK YOU to all that has
congratulated us!!

Malte: Yesterday it was a show in the south
of Sweden and Malte was the only dog from
Explicit to enter.

Malte the summer of 2007:

Malte won a big youngster class with CK
and as he just has gotten of age for the class that
made us very happy!

Thank you My for doing such a good job with him and
keep up the good work!!

Australia: Disco and Judy has been to yet another show!
And Disco won against stiff competition BOB and got
even more points towards his lead in
"Showdog of the year 2007".

We are so proud of you and keep all our fingers crossed
for continued success!!
Thank you so much for all the hard work you put
into him and kiss him from us!!

Wonderful Disco in November 2007!

Växjö Int:
Last weekend it was and International show in Växjö.
Pommac, Smilla and Soda came along.
Since Pommac & Smilla turned 2 on Monday the same week and
Soda became a junior on the Tuesday we didn’t have any big hopes on big wins.

But all 3 won their classes with CK and Pommac got 3’d best male.
Soda especially was very happy with herself and her trophy…

Soda is showing off her trophy..
"
Mum said I shouldn’t get my hopes up for any prizes at this show, due
to the fact that I just turned 9 months and the show was supposed to be littered
with older girls that also wanted prizes.
It didn’t help that I told her to go and take a long hard look at my big
trophy from the weekend before..
But luckily for me, the judge knew just what I was talking about!
Mum knows nothing and I did get a prize.. so there!!
If you think I look a bit tried.. you are exactly right!!
This being a junior is
very tiring thing indeed.. "

Disco #1 in Australien!
28/10-2007

Fredde and I went to Mjölby to show Pommac, Smilla and Soda
this weekend.
Late at night I recieved an sms from
Judy Kennon-Wray who owns Disco,
and I read that he just had won BIG!!

I wrote her back how happy we where and then
got back to sleep.
A few hours later the mobile rings..
My first reaction was that something must have
happend and yes it had!!

It was a very happy Judy who told me
that Disco had won BIS!!!

Disco sommaren 2007.

We here ever so happy and who cares about the
hour when the news is as good as that??

Soda BIS in Mjölby
28/10-2007

After all the good news from Disco it was our turn
to try our luck at the show in Mjölby.
We had gone to the show on Saturday with the R.V
and the dogs loved it as usual!

Today it was Pommac, Smilla and Soda who was to be shown,
and Sodas brother Joker and sister Nova came as well!

Pommac.

Pommac was first.
Unfortunatly he has lost a lot of coat and the
judge thought his young age was to apparent,
and he became 2'nd place with honours.
Well well, that is the way it goes and Pommac was
just as happy anyway!

Smilla was next and she didn't get placed at all..
The judge though her tail was to short (!) and held
a little high..

So then it was up to the puppies to try and
make us proud..

First it was Jokers turn. He got very good
critique from the judge but since he has grown quite a lot
the last month he didn't get placed.
Now we just hope that he fills out his lovely outline and
that he stays the size he is at the moment.

Soda and Nova went in to the ring and
really showed really well.
Soda won and Nova finished 3:rd!

Soda then got to show herself against the
winning male puppy, and won again.

Nova, Joker and Soda outside the show.

Then we got a few hours rest before it was time
to go into the big ring for BIS!
The judge was Marjorie Martorella, USA
and Soda really put her best paw forward.

After looking through all the puppies
she started to place the puppies.
It was down to Soda or the Golden Retriever
and Soda won!!

The judge praised her and ecpecially her movements,
and that was wonderful to hear!
Soda herself didn't seem to care at all.
The only thing she cared about was her
wonderful dinasaur that she won.
She nearly didn't want to stand for the BIS picture..

"Don't you just looove a good dinosaur??"
Soda is so proud of her new toy..

We packed up and got on the road
back home again.
Thank you so much to Lisa & Emma for
showing your dogs! :-)

Adelaide Royal Show
15/9-2007

Disco keeps doing well in the rings around Australia!
We are so happy and proud and I know I have missed
so many of his triumphs but we will better ourselfs!!

Disco i Maj-2007.
(har tyvärr ingen nyare..)

Disco and his owner Judy went to Adelaide to enter
in two shows the last weekend!
First it was a judge from Norway Mrs Sunde and
she gave Disco res-CC!!

Then it was time for Adelaide Royal Show and
that went even better!
Disco showed his little black paws very well
indeed and won BOB!!

We send lots of hugs to Judy and big
kisses for Discos lovely nose!!
:-)

Retriever special Polen
9/9-2007

While little Missy awaits being old enough
to enter the UK she was taken by owner Izabela
to a retriever special in Poland!

"Come on mum.. Best foot forward!!
Missy (infront) does her best to impress!"

She won her class and then went on to BOB puppy!
Later that day it was time for the Best In Show finale.
Missy kept on doing well, and thought it was good fun
to strut her stuff and finished BIS-3!!
Way to go!!

Keep up the good work,
lots of hugs & kisses from us to you!

Iza & Missy after the BIS finale!

SKK show Sofiero
8/9-2007

Beautiful Malte and his owner My keep on doing well
at the shows in Sweden.
Malte is a junior and son of Maggie and Nimbus.
He went to the Swedish Kennelclubs Show in
Sofiero where he yet again won the juniorclass
with CK!

"Showing is fun.. but a day at the beach is even mooore fun!"
Malte relaxing at the beach!

We are very happy that they keep on doing
well and send all our best to you!!
:)

Summershows in Sweden!

We have been to several shows this summer,
mostly with Pommac, Smilla and Soda.
We have got some great feedback on Pommac,
and many has congratulated us on getting him
back to live with us!

Pommac the summer 2007.

He has won all his classes and got placings in
best male line up, in all his shows, but one this summer!
Unfortunatly he has been dog behind the CC at all
of them, but he is young and we keep our fingers
crossed that they will come eventually!

Soda, very proud of her win!

Soda has been showed and won 2 BOS puppy!
She was very proud of herself!!
And she is such a sweetheart we just love her soo much!

Sodas brother Dante won BOB puppy at the
SKK show in Askersund!
We couldn't stay on to the finale so
he kept insisting that he would have won BIS!! ;-)

Fieldtrail Munketorp
19/8-2007

Pan, brother to Smilla and Pommac went with his
owner Annika to try their hand at fieldtrail.
Annika are amazing at training dogs,
and this was her first time at a retrieving trail.

Pan was such a good boy!!

Pan did a superb job and got a 1'st price
at his first trail!!

We are sooo happy and send all our
congratulations to the both of them!

Export USA
9/8-2007

Our wonderful friends Janet and Cary Ciarico
in Maryland USA,
has open up their home and hearts for
yet another little Explicit girl!

Due to very sad circumstance they had lost
their darling girl Libby, who was a flatcoat and only
4 years old.

And what better to mend broken hearts all around,
then a little chocolate girl from Sweden!
She was a very spunky puppy, and was named Tilly!

Soda did her best to groom her into a good friend for
sister Dala, from the Pepsi/Simon litter,
and on the 9th of August we went to
send Tilly to her new home.

Such a cool little girl, just took her treats and
went in to make herself comfortable in the crate.
And we where happy to get the news that all
had gone well and she arrived cool, calm and collected!

We wish you the best of luck, and soo love
all the stories we get from you!
Lots of hugs and kisses for you all!!

Show in Gränna
17/6-2007

Time for another show and this time it was
Salve and Cola who came along!
I drove down late at night
and Salve and Cola was very comfy in the RV.
Finally we came to the show and
we got some sleep before it was time to start showing.

Kristina came with Salves sister Vilja and
as always it is lovely to meet them!
Vilja was first to go in the ring, and
it was around 15 dogs entered in youngster class.
Vilja came 2'nd with honourprize!
The jugde was Jan-Erik Ek, Sweden.

Vilja, Smilla and Salves sister!

Then it was Salves turn to show himself
before Ragnhild Ulin, and he won the
youngster class with CK and by that he was
going back in the ring for best male.

Cola went in to open class and it was quite a
large turn out.
I had been a bit hesitant to show her,
due to the fact that she just started shedding.
But she won the class with CK and
after quite a few laps around the ring in
best bitch got put infront and won best bitch!! :-)

I was so happy and proud as Cola got her CC and
became a champion!

Cola looks quite happy with herself! :-)

But no time to loose, it was over to the male ring
where R. Ulin was judging BOB/BOS.
More running and it was oh so hot!

When Cola and I got handed the red/yellow
rosette I was so happy!
BOB under Ragnhild Ulin, what a wonderful day
to remember!! :-)

By the time it was time for the BIS, Cola
was quite tired and she didn't get
placed. But I didn't care at all!

Do I need to say that the RV almost flew home??
;-)

Diva had her own
secret...
1/6-2007

Well, well.. The best laid plans as
 they say..

Diva didn't quite share our plan that
was to mate her early next year..
So one way or another she
arranged a ‘rendez-vous’ with Trigger or Elvis,
without us knowing a thing..

Diva sweet as suger but oh so sneaky..

We didn't catch un until she
 started running underneath 50%
of the jumps, instead of jumping over them,
when Filip was at agility training with her..

A trip to the vet and we found out that she was
6-7 weeks along and that it was way to late to do
anything but to get ready for a new litter!

10 puppies.. That is quite a lot of secrets..

And on the 22’nd of May Diva gave birth to
10 puppies. 7 girls and 3 boys, 4 out of the 7 girls
are liver and 1 of the 3 boys are also liver.
They are all well and Diva is so proud of herself
and her puppies!

A black and one liver girls sleeping tight.

This is obviously not a dream scenario for our kennel,
but since we firmly believe in telling the truth, we stick to
that policy even during these circumstances.

Diva says that it is Elvis that is the father but
Elvis keeps pointing the finger at Trigger.

Elvis...

Trigger how ever, just shakes his head saying that
he knows nothing about any puppies.

Trigger...

So we will have to let the puppies
and potential fathers get DNA-tests done to make sure
who the father is.. This will get done as soon as possible!
Luckily both fathers are unrelated to Diva and are good
flatcoats with outgoing temperament, sound construction and
lots of ability and desire to retrieve. They all are free on hips and
elbows and eyes are clear.

We will keep you updated on what happens
in this our very own Explicit reality show.. ;-)

Diva has had one litter previously and several has
done well at shows, Cola won the openclass at
the World Dog Show in Poznan 2006.

Cola, who won the openclass at WW-06,
in our garden in May 2007.

Colas sister Dimma has also made
a wonderful start at obedience.
Before she was 2 years old she was
qualified for ELITE obedience and had
done very well at bruks (obedience combined
with tracking humans) as well.

Dimma, one year old in the picture, working with
her owner Annika!

We also want to send a *Thank you!* to all of you who has
told us stories of when things like this has happened to you,
it really feels much better to know that we are not alone!

:-)

Missy has left
Mariedal!
14/5-2007

Missy, Explicit Have you met Miss Jones,
has left us for new adventures with her
owner Izabela
Kulczycka.

Izabela is originally from Poland, but
lives in England since a few years back.
But since there is quite a few rules to
get a dog into the UK, Missy would have to
get ready for quite some time before that
would be possible!

Iza and Missy, Soda and Pepsi at the
trainstation!

We started giving Missy
her rabies vaccinations as soon as we could and
now she needs to get her bloodtest and then wait
for 6 months before being able to come with her
new mum to stay in the UK.

Meanwhile she is staying with Izabelas mum and Izas
other dogs in Poland and Iza visits her as often as possible.

They look quite happy, don't you think? :-)

We get lots of updates from Iza on how
everything is going and that feels wonderful for us!
We hope to see them both soon,
at Crufts 2008 if not sooner!

We will keep you all updated on how Missy is doing!
:-)

SKK Larv Show
6/5-06

What luxurary to just drive 30 minutes
and be at the show...
This time it was time for the Swedish KC
show in Larv!

Cola was the only Explicit dog entered and
she loved being at the first outdoor show of the year!

Cola in the ring..

The sun was shining but the wind was very strong,
getting tents to blow all over the place..
Cola didn't move an inch when the tent just
a meter or two gave in and did a big loop!

Cola has been home during the spring while
Smilla has been to Crufts among other places,
and now where back in the showring.

When it got time for best bitch the entire ring
was crowded with beautiful girls who all got CK
and I was so happy when Cola got placed 3:d!!

Cola outside our house...

So we went back home without the CC,
but happy and proud all the same!
And Cola got to jump in the river,
happy as always! :-)

Loads of news..
15/4-07

After being without internet for nearly 2 weeks,
we are back online!!
It is amazing how much we rely on the
internet for everything from news, keeping in touch
with friends and banking and so on..

A lot of fun stuff has happened since I last updated,
and I will try to keep it in chronological order.

Triggers son Tiwas
wins in a big way!!

Triggers son Flatterhaft Hazel Horse really showed what
he's made of at the SSRK double show in Uddevalla.
On Saturday he won his last ticket he needed to
become champion, and went on to win BOB and BIS-3!!!

Tiwas with his happy breeder Anneli Karlsson who
owns
Kennel Flatterhaft!

Tiwas is owned by Marie Almving-Sköld and we where so happy when
she called with the news!!
Trigger was extra happy since his sons win meant that
he got to come along to McDonalds and get a
"winnerburger by association"...
He was very happy indeed..

(For those of you who don't know this, this
tradition came about after being at a show and on
the way home wanting to give the dogs a treat
after winning!

This was very much appreciated and since
then if the dogs win or get placed in best bitch/male they get
a "winnerburger" on the way home... )

On the Sunday show Tiwas got to try out
his luck in the championsclass.
And yet again he wins and goes on to be BOB and
went on all the way to win BIS!!

It was also nice that he got judged by 4 different
jugdes during this weekend and they all loved him!
Another chance for us to celebrate and
Trigger got to go with Fredde to Skara where
he got yet another burger..

"Keep up the good work, Tiwas!!
I'm getting used to this, Trigger says! "

Veteran of Veterans
Grand Hotel Sthlm Easters Eve!

It was time again for the gala evening Veteran of Veterans
and Fredde and I went up to Stockholm to cheer on
Anette Dyrén and Richie & Linda Edberg and Nike.

It was glitz and glamor and everybody was dressed
to the nines.

All the dogs entered was BIS winners at
different SKK all breed shows and it was a
topwinning crowd who had come this evening.

After a wonderful and extravagant meal it was
time for the dogs to enter the stage.

Richie och Anette ifrån Kennel Calzeat
strut there stuff!

Richie  beat on dog after another and
ended up as "runner up best Veteran!"
What a feat and what a continuation on 2007
for Anette and Richie who won the veterans class at
Crufts 2007!

Explicit She's the One
Export USA
11/4-07

Dala at the airport at Landvetter.

So it was time again for me to send a dog on export.
This time it was little Dala who where going to her new home
at kennel Riversong in Maryland USA.
Janet & Cary Ciarico had plans to come over and
pick her up but due to complications with SAS this
didn't work itself out.

So better to be safe then sorry and
we put Dala on the airplane early Wednesday morning.

My dad Ove came along, the same way he did when
it was time for Disco to leave.
Fredde was working and Filip was at school.

We went up in the middle of the night to wake up
Dala and her brothers and sisters to try and
drain some energy before the long flight to the US.
This picture is outside the airport just before we went
in to start the paperwork..

All the papers are ready and the cage is cozy with
a blanket and a huge pigsear to nibble on during the
flight. Dala choose one more bone before she
went in to the cage and lay down all content.

The same afternoon, 15,00 local US time, and 21,00 Swedish time,
Dala was a US citizen and loving everything about it!
Here is her new "mum" Janet and her new best friend Libby
posing for the camera!
She went to sleep and slept a solid 12 hours all through the
night so I guess even dogs get a bit of "jetlag"...

Well rested after her sleep she and Janet tried out a pose...
And guess what they used to stack her..? PEAR!!
As it turns out Dala loves both apples and pears..
Well, you all know how important it is to get your vit-C!! ;-)

Dala and Libby playes! Libby has really taken Dala to heart!
She even regurgitated her food for her,
something bitches often do for there puppies.
And Libby seems to think Dala is her puppy, what a sweetheart!

We are so happy to have found new friends in
Janet & Cary and look forward to hearing more about
Dalas adventures in the mighty US!

:-)

Smilla won
Best Puppy All Breeds 2006
in our county!
29/3-07

At the end of every year our
local kennelclub award the topwinning dogs
both puppies and grown dogs, of all breeds.

It all takes place at a very nice hotel and
after a meeting and very good meal it is time to
reveal the winners..

And to our delight Smilla won
BEST PUPPY 2006!!

Smilla after winning BIS at SKK Borås.

Out of her 7 shows she got BOB at 6 SKK all breed shows and
at 2 of them there where more than 100 puppies in the
ring for BIS.. She was such a trooper even though the heat
was more then most dogs could bear and trotted in good style
with her tail wagging no matter what!!

SKK Larv - BOB puppy.
SKK Vänersborg - BOB puppy and BIS 4:a
SKK Borås - BOB puppy and  BIS
SKK Tvååker - BOB puppy and BIS 3:a
SKK Tvååker - BOB puppy and BIS 2:a
SKK Ransäter - BOB puppy and BIS 2:a

One promising male for sale..
23/3-07

Due to a very late cancellation we have
one male still for sale out of our last litter!
He is sired by Multiwinner Almanza Far & Flyg that
won BOB and BIG recently at Crufts 2007.

He shows very good promise indeed with a spunky attitude for life
and is only for sale to someone who wants a good dog for
show and/or work.

If you are interested give us a ring or email us
at: kennel.explicit@gmail.com

Smillas critic from
Crufts!
23/3-07

"Luckner's Explicit Lovable Trouble, larger then 1&2 &
not quiete the head of the two above her,
has a super outline standing & on the move,
very eyecatching,
but slightly spoilt by being over
trimmed down the front of her neck.
Her movement was excellent."

Ok, I guess I should be agry with myself for
trimming her as we do here in Sweden..
But the fact of the matter is that since she
was showed reasently in Sweden, the coat
didn't have time to grow back..
But I don't care.. I'm thrilled with our first "go" at
Crufts.. That is what a call a dogshow!! :-)

SKK Int in Malmö
17/3-07

This weekend it was time for the big
International Dog Show in Malmö.
My and Malte, a brother to Fanny went and
this was their first dog show ever!
Malte seems to have grown into a
quite a big boy since we saw him last!

Malte, so proud of his first ribbon ever!

Since My live as far south as possible
in Sweden, we don't have the chance to see
one another very often..
Due to this I had to try and explain how she
should get Malte ready for showing and this intails
giving her coat-trimming instructions via email..

And then we could stay home and be lazy,
and just get the good news via the telephone as
Malte won BOB-puppy!
Way to go, My & Malte!! :-)

Malte, after his first show as puppy!

They didn't get placed in the BIS but they
where so happy and so were we!
What a wonderful start to Maltes show adventures!

Thank you My for training him and
getting him ready, we think you did a wonderful job!!
And to Malte we obviously send lots of kisses! :-)

Back from Crufts
12/3-07

Finally back and what a wonderful trip
all around!

Spring has a firm grip on England!
Richie and Smilla on holy ground..

Anette & I really got a kickstart to our trip.. When we got to Calais,
the people at the check-in got into their heads that something was wrong
with Richies papers and our hearts nearly stopped!
We had to go to the managers office, and luckily everything
was fine and we could take the boat to England.

On Thursday it was time for the show and we where
up at 03,30 in the night (morning) to bath Smilla and
Richie before the show.

We just wanted to go and have a fun show, and
we where delighted when Richie won the
veterans class, and just sparkled in the ring!

SUCH NUCH INTUCH Calzeat Full of Beans
"Richie" won the veterans class!

Then it was Smillas turn, and she was up against 25 junior bitches in her class!
She was happy as always and thought that this arrangement
with people sitting on chairs around the ring was absolutely great!
She took every chance to talk to them and when I wouldn't
let her after awhile of her "chatting to everyone in sight" she lay
down and just relaxed in the ring.. A bit different from our
way of showing in Sweden..

Smilla på Crufts 2007.

Smilla got through the first cut and got to run again
infront of judge Val. Jones, and then got
placed as nr 3 in the class!
I was so happy and Smilla seemed very happy to! :-)

Smilla was also entered to "special yearling" and
she got placed there as well, this time
as nr 4! One more reason to be happy with our trip!

Smilla and Richie after a job well done!

Smilla was absolutely exhausted after the show and
went to sleep in the hotel bed as soon as we came
into the room in the evening!

We met lots of wonderful people at Crufts and
it was an absolutely lovely journey!
And who knows.. Maybe we will be back again someday!

Richie and Smilla by the boat home again!

SSRK show in Mjölby.
11/2-07

Today we had a show and Smilla and
Fanny came along.
It was really hard to find the drive
to get out of my warm bed when it was -12c outside
and the clock was 5.15...

But once I got going it was ok, and
Smilla and Fanny was very happy to being
out on an adventure.

When we got there Fanny was first in puppy class 2.
It's for puppies between 6-9 months.
Fanny was so happy jumping around and I just
got her sorted when it was our turn.

She won the bitch class and then got to
go against the best male puppy.
She won there as well and
was through to the big ring later on in the day.

Fanny and Smilla outside the show, when we had a break
and they could have some fun!

They ran like crazy and had a wonderful time.

Smilla went into the youngster class for the
first time and there where 14 bitches.
She got placed as nr 4 with honours by
Ms M. Hataway from UK who judged for the day.

Smilla in the snow enjoying the sunshine.

Fanny had got her really got into the
showing when she got to run in the
big ring during the BIS later on.

She was so proud of herself and
ended up as BIS-2 just beaten by
a Golden retriever.

Fanny was very proud of herself, and
so was I when she became BIS-2!

She won ribbons, food and treats,
toys and other stuff and seemed very
happy with her accomplishments.

So, just left for me to get everything back
into the car and drive home again.
My two wonderful girls sleeping in the back of the
car and me just longing for a good cup of thé
infront of the fire at home.

:-)

Pepsi got her puppies!
30/1-07

Pepsi got her puppies and we are so happy!
She got 4 of each and they are now sleeping
and looks fine!

Pepsi has been terrific and now is tired but
very happy with her puppies!

"Guess if we where hungry?? We have like... waited forever
to get a propper meal!!
"

"No complaints from us.. The food is good, mum is nice
and the bed is comfy.."

But mum is very tired.. but we are too so that ok!

Ok, we all will rest and get back to
updating the page later on!
:-)

Salve wins at SKK MyDOG Show
and X-ray results are in!
11/1-07

Just after New Year's there is a big show
in Gothenburg Sweden.
It is the Swedish Kennelclubs annual MyDOG
National and International all breed dogshow.

Salve, the brother of Smilla and Disco among others
entered the international show and we thought it would
be very interesting to see if he would do a hattrick on his
win at the Swedish Winner Show that took place in december.

Salve, with his owner Anne Finnig!

To our great happiness Salve showed perfectly yet again,
and even though it was a tough class with lots of
good looking juniors Salve stood tall and won!

Owner and handler Anne lights up when the
judge comes up to her to praise Salve after the
win is a fact! Salve looks happy too.. ;-)

We where so happy and proud that Anne
and Salve did such a splendid job and
can't wait to see what will happen next! :-)

And then to some other good news..

Smilla, Levis, Linus and Diezel have all
been to get their hips and elbows x-rayed.
And we are so happy to get the results back..

They where all clear on both hips and elbows,
and now there are not many left in the litter to check.
Keep fingers crossed that they prove to be clear as well!
:-)

We wish you all a Happy New Year!
30/12-2006

It has been a calm x-mas and now we are waiting for
2007 to start!

We wish all our friends around the world,
a Happy New Year with lots of success and
fun times with dogs, friends and family!

:-)

Pepsi is pregnant,
Pan is free,
and Narnia has success in Mexico!
29/12-2006

So today it was finally time to find out if
Pepsi are having puppies or not.
I took her as a do all my bitches to
the vet in Vara, Tore Olsson.

Pepsi on her way in to the vet...

We had do wait for awhile and suddenly we
hear something whimper,
at first it sounded like an angry parrot!!
The parrot later on turned out to be a
Great Danios puppy that just had been
delivered by C-section.
She, it was a brindle bitch at over 900 grams,
and absolutely beautiful.. so sweet that I
forgot to take her picture...

"Hello... I'm right here and adorable all the time..!!"
Pepsi waiting in the room..

"I think it is to much talk about the little fattie.."
Pepsi thinks we all pay way to much attention to the little
puppy...

Finally it was our turn, and Pepsi got examined.

And yes.. there are puppies..
Here you see the embryo in the amniotic fluid.

We where all really happy, both for the little
great danios puppy who made it and for
Pepsis pregnancy.
Now we keep our fingers crossed that all
goes well and that we soon have puppies
in the house again!

Narnia i Mexico..

Yesterday I called to see if all was well
with Narnia, who is the sister of Smilla and Disco
and lives in Mexico with her owner/breeder Heriberto.
It was wonderful to hear that she has done
just as well as her brothers and sisters and
now only are 2 points from becoming a
Champion!

She has to become 16 months before she can
complete the title, but we are most proud of her!
She has won BOS at her young age and
we are most curious how she looks.
As soon as I get a picture I will post it
here!

We send our best wishes to Narnia and Heriberto,
and hope that the last 2 points soon will be
in place, so that Narnia can go to the
World Dog Show 2007 that is in Mexico as
a champion!!

You go Narnia! :-)

Pan is free...

And Narnias brother Pan has been to the
vet for his x-ray...
And just as we hoped he had a perfect
score and was free on both hips and elbows.

Pan will hit the showrings next year,
and  we hope that he makes a splash
just as his sibblings has done!

HUND06
(Swedish Winner Show 2006)
10/12-06

Time for the last show of the year,
and this time it was Stockholm who would be
invaded by dogs, dogs and more dogs!

From our kennel it was Smilla, Vilja, Salve, Linus and Levis all
siblings out of the Ella/Cosmo litter, and Cola and Trigger
who where entered.
We went up on Saturday evening and
got some wonderful news from Finland where the
Finland Winner Show was on..
Simon, Almanza Far & Flyg, had done it
again and won BOB and BIG!
Simon is mated to Pepsi, and hopefully
we will have puppies from them in the beginning of
the year.

I was really tired when we came to the show venue,
that became really obvious when I was to park
our RV with the dog trailer behind..
Normally this is something I excel at, after all the years
on the road with a horse trailer in tow.
But with not a brain cell in perfect condition..
It took me several laps around the parking lot before
I could say that: “Ok, this just have to do..”

After some tea it was time for bed,
and we didn’t wake until all the small dogs wanted
to make themselves heard entering the arena in the morning.

This show is the highlight of the year for us Swedes,
 and everyone is there.
This year it was 195 flatcoates and soon the show
was up and running.

Smilla and Vilja was in the bitch ring,

and Salve, Levis and Linus in another.
I had got some friends with me to show
them, and I couldn’t see what happened in the
other ring, due to all the spectators.

It was 17 dogs entered in both rings and when
it was time for the final cut both Smilla and Vilja
was still in the running.
Kristina, who owns Vilja, did a great job at
showing her and she got placed 4:th with honours!

Vilja is a very good looking bitch and with a little more time
I think she will have a fantastic run of the rings
around the Nordic countries.
Then the judge placed nr 3 and finally
it was time for me and Anneli at Kennel Flatterhaft to
take them around for the final two laps around the ring..

Just before we ran, Anneli came up to me to give me
an congratulatory hug, and I was going to give her a
kiss on the cheek.. But since she moved her head, it
landed right on the lips and I guess the judge must have
been a bit surprised and we just laughed!

So we took them around the ring and Smilla was showed
to the winning marker and I was so happy!
Smilla has had a wonderful year at the shows,
and this was really just icing on the cake!

When I got out of the ring, another breeder came up
to me to congratulate and asked if I knew the results in
the male class..
I said that I didn’t and he said..
”-You won there as well!”
As it turns out, the males had done wonderfully too!
Out of 17 dog, Salve won with CK, Levis came
3:d with honours and Linus came 6:th!
This just made the joy even greater!

Then we had some time to mingle
with friends and puppy owners of ours before
it was time to get into the ring again.
This time it was Cola who entered into
open class. I didn’t have much hope
since the judge had showed out several

bitches that had a lot in common with Cola

and it proved I was right.

She got a good written critic but
in the concurrence it was  “Thank, you
but no thank you” and out we went.

Trigger entered veterans class and I guess it
was around 15 males.
Trigger ended up as nr 5 in the concurrence
and I was happy with that.

Then it was time for best bitch class and
Smilla had her last run of a show ring for the year.
Since the entire ring was lined with wonderful
bitches I didn’t think we stood a chance to get
placed and just waited for the judge to show us the door,
so to speak..

But we got pulled out with around 7 other bitches for
his last lineup and around the ring we went.
And then he did some adjustments and
we ran some more.. At this time we where
placed as nr 3 after a champion- and openclass bitch.

I kept thinking as we ran around the ring.
”Is she really going to be placed as nr 3.. AT STHLM???”
Smilla is just a junior and it felt just to good to be true..

Then the judge came up to us and asked me and the
woman that stood as nr 2 to switch places, and then
take them around again..
We did and after another few laps he showed us in to
the placements markers and it was true..
Smilla came 2:nd best bitch at Sthlm!!!

Smilla our little Lovable Trouble.. ;-)

We are so happy and proud after this year and
wonderful day, and want to say a big THANK YOU for all
the congratulatory email, sms’s, calls and so on!

Smilla yet again..

Now we take some time off for X-mas and
will spend it outdoors in the rain and mud.
The dogs will get to jump in every mucky ditch
they can find and they are always very good at
finding them, I can tell you.. ;-)

Hopefully the snow will come soon so
we can get back to clean dogs and wet socks
instead of all that sand on the floors.. :-)

News from Australia!
26/11-06

Sometimes I moan about long drives to shows.
I really get a realitycheck when I talk to
Judy in Australia who are the proud owners
of Disco, Exp No Trouble At All!

She had a 12 hour drive, one way this
weekend and I realise that I next to never
have any reason to complain.. ;-)

I don't have all the details, but I know
that Disco won BOB!!
We are so happy to hear from them
and will update here as soon as I get more info!
Way to go Disco & Judy!!! :-)

Nordic Winner Show
in Norway 19/11-06

After the joy of the World Show in
Poland had settled it was time
to get back into the car and go to another
big show. This time it was the Nordic Winnershow 2006
that was on in Hamar, Norway.

Kristina and I put Smilla, Cola, Levis (Smillas brother)
and Trigger in the car and drove to Norway.
After 40 km of solid ice on the road after
entering Norway and
me still with summertyres on the car, it
was the worst roadtrip of my life!!

But we got there, and the next morning
it was time for show again!
First out was Levis and since he and
Smilla where to go in at the same time but
in different rings I got Gudrun to show Levis for me.
Judge for the day was Robert Allan, UK.
He was very close, but not close enough to
get at winnertitle, he finished 2'nd in
juniorclass.

Later on Levis got placed 4'th in
winnerclass and got CK.
Not bad for his second show ever..

His written critics was:
Good type, typ head, well constructed,
good hindquarters, moved very well.
Exellent condition.

"Read my lips.. thirteen months.."
It looks like Gudrun really is trying to get through..

Smilla got went in the ring with me
and judged did Maureen Scott, UK.
She won the juniorclass and got
another title to her name: Nordjw-06!
It felt wonderful and I almost couldn't
believe it.. My little Smilla did it again! :-)

This is what the judge thought of her:
Lovely bitch, nicely molded head, dark almonde eyes,
good neck +shoulders and length of upperarm,
deep chest, strong hindquarters, good bone and
exellent feet, good coat +condition, sound mover.

Judge Maureen Scott lookes over Smilla.

Then Cola went in the open class and I must
say it was one of the biggest classes I have ever
seen, not counting Crufts.
She didn't get placed in the winner class later on,
but the critic she got was amazing anyway..

Nice type, balanced head with good eyeshape,
good neck + shoulders, strong topline, deep chest,
strong hindquarters with good tailset, bone + feet,
good condition, moved well.

Trigger very happy to be back in the ring..
Soon to be 8 years old!

Then it was time for Trigger to do a comeback
after almost 2 years without beeing shown.
He was so happy I could hardly believe it..
He flew around the ring and didn't have time
to wait for me.. :-)

This is what Robert Allan thought about him:
Very good type, good moulded head,
nicely balanced, very good forhand (?),
corr bone, exellent feet, good spring of rib,
strong well developed quarters, very animated,
sound driving movement.

Trigger moving around the ring..

Trigger won the veteransclass and
then finished 5'th in best male!
Smilla got placed as nr 6 in winner and
the judge came up to us and said:
"She is a lovely, lovely youngster!"
And this made me very happy indeed!

Then we packed our bags after seeing Simon
win BOB in wonderful style, and started
our way home again.

It was really a wonderful day,
and Smillas success and Trigger happiness
made it a day to remember!

World Dog Show 2006
Poland 12/11-06

My sister and I took
Smilla and Cola with us and drove
to Poland in our SUV.
A long drive but with regular
stops for dogwalking and
shopping.. it went like a breeze.. ;-)

We drove through Denmark and
Germany and then into Poland and
Poznan who hosted the
2006 World Dog Show!

Through out the journey the
dogs behaved perfectly and
we stayed outside the show on
a parking with loads of SUV's with
dogpeople and dogs in them,
making the stay wonderful!

I started grooming the dogs on the evening
before the show and it worked perfectly in
the car!

Smilla with her favorite toy beeing groomed
before the show!

Cola helping me hold the brush..
She is a bit older and wiser.. ;-)

The show was at a wonderful
fairground with 15 mayor arenas all
with carpeting and good size rings.

Cola started the day off for me, in openclass,
and was in her best show mode loving
every minute of it!

Cola at the show.. Wagging that tail!

Since she's not in perfect coat at the
moment I was very surprised when
she won the class and got awarded
CAC/CAW.

Then it was Smillas turn and she
loved beeing back in the ring after a few
months of down time after her busy summer.
She was up against some really wonderful
bitches and I couldn't believe it when
the judge called us up as winners!

Smilla did bring her tail to the show.. ;-)
Just not on this picture.. and she left the show
with a new title to her name..
JWW-06 Explicit Lovable Trouble! :-)

This was really more then I could ever
have hoped for and such a wonderful
thing to show my two girls and they just
loving every minute of it!

I want to thank my sister Paula for
travelling with me and the dogs,
and all who have been so nice and happy for
me and my dogs.

This makes us very happy and
feeling so blessed to know all of you!!
We made it back to Sweden even though
someone tried to break in to our car.. :-(
This resulting in a window missing!!!
But thank goodness that my sister
is handy with plastic and tape! ;-)
Nothing worse happened and
nothing, absolutly nothing can take
away the joy we feel after this weekend!!

This coming weekend it is the Nordic Winner Show
